A helical anchor is essentially a giant screw that is installed into the ground as an anchor point, often for a deadman system on a bulkhead. Helical anchors are screwed into place. Their capacity is proportional to the rotational torque required during installation. Helical Anchors are very useful in applications where other types of deadman systems are inadequate because of space limitations on the upland side of the wall or for precise calculating of load capacity in unstable soils. Helical anchors can be driven in chosen directions to allow the securing of a bulkhead that has a house or pool immediately behind it. FBMC is experienced in the installation of helical anchoring systems.
