Farrell Bros Marine Construction was founded in the Spring of 2003, after much encouragement from the family and friends of Scott and Paul Farrell. Scott and Paul grew up on the waters of Jacksonville, FL where they witnessed the challenges that the marine construction field presented to their parents and neighbors.
Paul and Scott found themselves involved in construction while growing up. Everything from helping their parents, neighbors and friends with docks, bulkheads, boat lifts and drainage issues to helping their grandparents build their home after retiring from the military and moving to Texas in the 80’s. Year after year they were encouraged to start a marine contracting company.
Both attended the local Stanton College Prep School, then went on to Rollins College to play Soccer. Paul continued on to get his Masters degree in Physical Therapy and is currently practicing in that field as well. Scott was a Physics Major who was accepted to the engineering Masters programs at the coveted Washington and Columbia Universities. After much debate, Paul stepped out of the clinic and Scott deferred to Graduate school for a year to get his contractors license. Together they founded FBMC with a goal of providing a new level of customer service and expertise to the field of Marine Construction.
Since the Spring of 2003, Scott and Paul have strived to provide the most value and service to their customers, co-workers and suppliers. From the initial consultation to many years after the completion of their project, the heart has stayed the same – to provide an exceptional product and overall experience for everyone involved with the company, even as the company has grown. Hands down our team is what truly makes FBMC. It started with a “lead by example” and “treat them like your family” mentality from the owners that has overflowed into the entire team.
Each member is expected to convey these traits as we move through all operational aspects and it rarely goes unnoticed. When you match that with the right equipment, skill sets and vision – there is almost nothing that has not been or cannot be accomplished. This has allowed incredible diversity in both the types of work and clients that have been serviced.
