Retention and Retaining Walls

An example of an upland retaining wall.

A wall for holding in place a mass of earth or the like, as at the edge of a terrace or excavation, or any type of elevation change. This is essentially another term for bulkhead although it is often considered a wall that is holding earth back from a body of water but instead just holding the material back over land. These are often used in landscaping as well as in areas with steep bluffs to decrease the effects of erosion. FBMC has installed retention walls in all types of applications and will gladly help design and install a retention wall system that not only fits your functional needs, but also adds value and curb appeal to your property.
